As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, teams are refining their strategies and adjusting their boards. With less than a week to go, there are still some surprises in store as teams shift focus. In this second edition of my mock draft, I’m taking a deeper dive into what each team might do with their first-round picks based on the latest insights and trends. So, let’s break down the picks, starting with the Tennessee Titans’ decision to take the next face of their franchise.

1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Titans have made it clear they’re looking for their future quarterback, and all signs point to Cam Ward as the pick. While Ward may not have the highest grades overall, the value of a franchise QB is undeniable. At -20000 odds to be the No. 1 pick, it seems like a foregone conclusion that the Titans will draft him to breathe new life into their offense and rebuild around him.
2. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
In what’s been a fascinating turn of events, the Cleveland Browns have seemingly moved away from drafting Shedeur Sanders, a choice many had expected for quite some time. Instead, the Browns are set to select Travis Hunter, a two-way player who excels both at wide receiver and cornerback. The odds of Hunter going second overall are strong at -800, as the Browns are eager to add an electrifying playmaker who can be a game-changer on both sides of the ball. As Hunter himself stated, “Never playing football again” if a team doesn’t let him play both ways could be a motivating factor in the selection. With Hunter’s versatility, he’ll bring a unique dynamic to Cleveland’s roster.
3. New York Giants: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State
The Giants had hoped to snag Hunter if he fell to No. 3, but with the Browns selecting him at two, the Giants will turn their attention to another top prospect: Abdul Carter. The Penn State edge rusher is highly regarded for his ability to disrupt the quarterback, and with the odds stacked at -550, he’s a likely choice for New York. Despite their already solid defensive line, Carter is too talented to pass up, and you can never have enough elite pass rushers on your roster.
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
With the fourth overall pick, the New England Patriots are focused on protecting their quarterback of the future. Will Campbell, the offensive tackle from LSU, is the ideal fit for the Patriots, who are in desperate need of help on the offensive line. The odds of Campbell going fourth are -225, and with a glaring hole at left tackle, this pick makes perfect sense. As the first offensive lineman off the board, Campbell will be tasked with keeping the pocket clean for Drake Maye.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
The Jacksonville Jaguars, like many teams in the top half of the draft, could use a weapon on the offensive side of the ball to help their franchise quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. However, with just six premium players at the top of the draft, they will focus on the defensive line, taking Mason Graham from Michigan. The odds are -110 for Graham to go at No. 5, and his ability to bolster the Jaguars’ pass rush will be a key asset for years to come.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Armand Membou, OL, Missouri
The Raiders have been in search of a solid offensive line, and Armand Membou from Missouri seems to be their man. Though the team could use another weapon on offense, like running back Ashton Jeanty, it’s clear that without a strong offensive line, any back would struggle. Membou provides the foundation the Raiders need to protect their future offensive stars. Odds to go sixth are +450, making this an intriguing choice for a team that needs to secure their offensive line before looking for additional skill players.
7. New York Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
After missing out on the top two offensive tackles, the New York Jets will pivot to add a key weapon for their offense in Tyler Warren, the tight end from Penn State. With a dual threat ability to both block and catch, Warren will be a great addition to the Jets’ offense, especially with Justin Fields at the helm. The odds of Warren being selected at No. 7 are +275, and the Jets hope he can emulate Brock Bowers’ breakout season with the Las Vegas Raiders.
8. Pittsburgh Steelers (TRADE): Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Pittsburgh Steelers have long been in need of a franchise quarterback. While they could gamble that Shedeur Sanders will fall to them at pick 21, the smart play is for them to trade up and secure the Colorado QB at No. 8. The odds of Sanders being the second quarterback selected are -250, and the Steelers will be willing to make a bold move to secure their future. With the Steelers’ ongoing search for a quarterback, this trade will send a clear message to the rest of the league.
9. New Orleans Saints: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
With the ninth overall pick, the Saints will target a cornerback to bolster their secondary, and Will Johnson from Michigan is the perfect fit. Recently showcasing his rehab process in a private pro day, Johnson has impressed scouts with his recovery, and at +1500 odds, he remains a top target for New Orleans. With the Saints in desperate need of secondary help, Johnson is a long-term solution they’ll be thrilled to add.
